For over 50 years, McBride Machine in Northern Nevada has specialized in old-world craftsmanship and the manual or computerized fabrication/repair of metal products. We pride ourselves on being experts who understand metals and tolerances.

5 Things that Make Us Different.
- Fast – We understand your projects need to be done in hours or days. We work hard to get you back up and running, even if that means we work overtime.
- Cost Effective – With a shop minimum of 1 hour, we accept jobs both large and small.
- High Quality – Creating parts fast will not help you if they do not fit. We routinely work with precision up to .005 thousand inches and make parts that are repeatable and dependable.
- Small Runs – We accept jobs with one or a few parts. We chose manual or CNC equipment based on the job, which gives you the option of getting precision work with the best turnaround time.
- Heavy. We are well known for being able to handle large parts because our entire shop is serviced by overhead bridge cranes. We have invested in industrial sized lathes, mills, and other large machinery. This also means we can repair your industrial equipment.
Expertise
CAD – We will help you reverse engineer or design and draw your part. We often do simple drawings at no additional cost to the customer.
Prototyping – Of all types.
Hard Metal Experience – Our industrial design experience allows us to recommend harder materials to replace or repair your worn parts so that they will last much longer than the original.
Industrial Repair – Experience with Construction, Mining, Agriculture, Chemical, Hydraulic, Energy production, and many other kinds of industrial equipment.
Shaft Expertise – No one in town can handle longer or bigger diameter shafts than we can. In addition, we have specialty lathes and mills to add threads, keys, or other special features for successful shaft production.
2 Plane Balancing – Our Soft Bearing Suspension machine allows us to quickly balance rotors, turbines, fans and other rotating equipment up to 500 pounds.
Rolling/Ring work – We can bend and roll flat stock, T bar, angle iron, or up to 2” schedule 40 pipe to fabricate handrails, roll bars or other customized shapes. We can roll plate up to 3/8” thick and as tight as 9” diameter ID
Gearboxes – Our machinists understand the complexity of gearing systems, including bearing systems, worm gears, and other elements to fabricate or repair your non-automotive gear system.
Gear Blanks – If you want to manufacture high-quality precision gears, you should start with high-quality gear blanks. We can make them for you.
Keys – Internal keys to 2 ¾” wide X 20” long
Adapters – Need to adapt a shaft or part to another? We are experts in adapter plates.
Plate Rolling – Up to 3/8” thick and as tight as 9” diameter ID
Partial Machinery List
Overhead Cranes – Through the whole shop to offload and manage your big parts.
Lathe work – Up 15 foot long and 31” swing on our manual machines
Vertical Turret Lathes – Allow us to do larger diameter parts up to 5’ x 3’.
Vertical Mill – We have invested in large vertical mills that handle big projects.
CNC Large Format Lathe – Our new HAAS ST40L is a large-frame, long-bed lathe with 15” chuck and a 4” bar capacity allowing for large scale production of shafts, pipes, and longer parts.
CNC Mills – Two HAAS high-speed mills make short work of complex production runs.
Horizontal Mills – 4 manual machines with digital read outs and tight tolerances along with many years of experience allow us to fabricate your one-off parts with maximum flexibility.
Blanchard Grinding – With a large 36” table we can provide sharpening or ultra flat surface grinding on large parts.
